The Off Licence opens from 10am to 10pm. Apart from its sales of fine wines, beers and spirits it also stocks sweets, milk, phone top-up cards & bin tags. The pub has been in the family for many years and its homely atmosphere and old world ambience make it the perfect stopping off place whether you are a local or a tourist, or just on the road home.
The late Derek Hill R.A. lived in nearby St Columba's House and housed his art collection in the adjoining Glebe Gallery. He became a personal friend to the family and a signed print of his on the wall of the pub is a testament to the regard in which he held the Callaghans.
Other notables such as Gay Byrne and Jimmy Nesbitt have had recent passing acquaintance with this really interesting traditional tavern.
