Welcome to Bunbeg House, Guesthouse, Restaurant and Bar in our spectacular location overlooking Bunbeg Harbour at the mouth of the salmon rich Clady River. Bunbeg is a small fishing village with a beautiful little harbour, set in the heart of the Gweedore Gaeltacht, Co. Donegal, where Irish is the spoken language. We offer accommodation in our 14 luxury en-suite bedrooms and take pride in the standard of our food, drink and service. Our cosy little bar is a great place to meet before the day's activities begin, or to relax and reminisce once they're over. Here you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink or perhaps have a tasty bite from our snack menu.

On a fine evening you can sit outside on the terrace, watching the boats coming in from the sea and taking in the spectacular sunset over the harbour while you choose from our dinner or bar menu. Dinner is served in our restaurant each evening with emphasis on fresh local produce and home cooking, complemented with an excellent wine list.

On the Donegal coast you can unwind, walking the beautiful sandy beaches and mountains, go cycling, fishing, golfing, water skiing or just take a leisurely boat trip to the nearby Gola and Tory Islands. Bunbeg House is an ideal base to tour the North West. Errigal and the Derryveagh mountains are only 15 minutes drive away. Nearby also visit Ionad Cois Locha, Dunlewey Lakeside Centre, which boasts an exciting historical display of local crafts, trips on the lake and play facilities for children. The Gweedore 9-hole Golf Club, Magheragallen, Derrybeg, is only five minutes from our door and the fishing in the local lakes and rivers is an extremely popular local activity. In the Gweedore Leisure Centre a swimming pool and gym are available and Gweedore also boasts a variety of shops and fine restaurants and its own theatre, Amharclann Gaoth Dobhair. A warm and friendly atmosphere is to be found in the local pubs, many of which have regular traditional music sessions.

Whether you come on your own, as a couple or family, or in a group - a Donegal fáilte (welcome) awaits you.

Jean and Andy Carr.
