The nearby Inniskeel Island is accessible from Annora Pub and Accommodation at low tide and contains the ruins of St Conal’s 6th Century Church, a pilgrimage site for hundreds of years. Around Portnoo harbour to Lackagh Hill you will experience wonderful views across to Roanish Island and the Atlantic. Doon Fort is another local attraction, a large stone structure which is believed to be over 2000 years old. It is built in the middle of Loughadoon (Doon Lake) and the approach by boat is a sight you will always remember. Another interesting attraction near Annora Pub and Accommodation is a Dolmen, a pre-historic burial site, located beside St Conal’s Church, Kilclooney and this is one of the finest remaining sites in the country.
